Carbon & Sustainability Lead - London Valorem Partners

Our international client, is seeking an experienced Carbon ESG Lead with a strong background in carbon management, sustainability, and business development for their operations in London, United Kingdom. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with commercial growth to help organisations achieve their net-zero and decarbonisation goals.
We are particularly interested in professionals who have worked with leading environmental and sustainability consultancies or organisations with similar expertise in carbon accounting, ESG, climate strategy, and environmental consulting.

Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer - London
Your key responsibilities:

• Lead the delivery of carbon footprint assessments and carbon reduction strategies.
• Develop trusted relationships with new and existing clients like Government officials and external stakeholders
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within corporate sustainability, ESG, and net-zero programmes.
• Prepare proposals, tenders, and client presentations
• Advising clients on GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions, carbon reporting, and decarbonisation planning.
• Work collaboratively with technical specialists to deliver high-quality sustainability solutions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Carbon Lead, Carbon Consultant, Sustainability Consultant
• Demonstrable business development experience, including winning new clients and managing commercial collaborations
• Strong understanding of Carbon accounting, GHG Protocol, Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within an environmental consultancy is highly desirable.
