**Job Description:**
Join us to be part of the new Airbus UpNext strategic demonstrator paving the future of Aircraft Connectivity. This demonstrator will accelerate the development of new technologies to bring tangible learnings to the business.
Designed as a talent incubator, Airbus UpNext is a place where you can act and think like a startup while building on the strong expertise of Airbus, a place where you are empowered to challenge and test new processes and ways of working.
*This internship is based in Toulouse (Saint Martin), and it comes with a mission of 6-months starting ASAP.*
** Your Missions & Responsibilities **
During this internship, you will dive into full-stack development, network configuration, and IoT systems. Your main tasks will include:
* *Full-Stack Development:* Define and develop software applications utilizing modern web technologies and frameworks to connect and process diverse data streams.
* *API & Database Management:* Handle API integrations and manage high-frequency telemetry data streams utilizing robust database solutions.
* *Edge & Offline Logic:* Design application logic for intermittent connectivity, ensuring systems handle offline modes gracefully via local caching and data-syncing strategies.
* *Hardware/Software Integration:* Ensure all on-board equipment (including WAPs and servers) is correctly configured and properly interfaced with the aircraft bus.
* *Network Connectivity:* Apply networking fundamentals (NAT, IPTables, DNS) to connect and monitor communications between on-premises applications and cloud infrastructure (via VPN tunneling and IPSec).
* *IoT Ecosystem:* Actively integrate smart assets and sensors into the broader system architecture.
* *Next-Gen Workflows:* Utilize AI-powered coding solutions (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development, optimize code quality, and maintain documentation.
* Your boarding pass *
We are looking for a student in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field who brings a mix of strong technical skills and a problem-solving mindset:

* Hands-on Impact: Work on real-world systems connecting aircraft hardware to modern software.
* Mentorship: Learn from senior engineers in a supportive, cutting-edge technical environment.
* A Great Team and Culture: Be part of a high-achieving, experienced and fun team in a shared open-space office with highly skilled colleagues. We are guided by the "Care for Each Other" value.
* Flexibility & Fun: Enjoy the ability to craft your calendar with flexible hours and the opportunity to work remotely, alongside regular UpNext community bonding events. And yes, we have complimentary freshly ground coffe ☕ and beverages
