Description du poste

**Job Description:**
*Location:* Toulouse (Saint Martin), France
*Type of contract:* CDI-C till the end of February 2028 (the contract is linked to the deliverable of the demonstrator)
*Starting ASAP *
* Airbus UpNext * is designed as a talent incubator: we act fast, take risks, and we disrupt the status quo, while building on the strong expertise of Airbus. Currently, we're building a strategic demonstrator that will define the future of * Aircraft Connectivity *.
We are looking for a hardware-software hybrid - an architect who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty with servers, sensors, and avionics buses to build the digital backbone of our next-gen aircraft.
**Your Mission: The Core of the Cabin*
*
As the Embedded Systems Architect, you are the *master of the metal*. You will personally design and configure the server architecture that serves as the 'brain' of the aircraft's digital solution. You are the one who ensures that code meets cable, and data meets the cloud.
*What You'll Own:*
* *System Architecture:* You'll design and maintain complex on-board systems, integrating everything from sensors and data concentrators into a seamless, robust unit.
* *Hardware/Software Fusion:* You'll ensure that servers, WAPs, and on-board equipment don't just exist - they perform. You'll be responsible for their configuration and their interface with the aircraft bus.
* *Advanced Connectivity:* You'll bridge the gap between the tarmac and the stratosphere, using *VPN tunneling, IPSec, NAT, and IPTables* to link on-premise applications with our cloud infrastructure.
* *The IoT Ecosystem:* You'll lead the integration of 'smart assets,' turning the aircraft into an intelligent IoT environment where every sensor contributes to the mission.
* *Avionics Mastering:* You'll navigate the unique world of aircraft protocols (ARINC 429, AFDX) and ensure everything meets the rigorous *DO-160* environmental standards.
**Your Boarding Pass (Requirements):**
* *The Systems Integrator:* Extensive experience in server management, IoT protocols, and deep systems integration.
* *Networking Native:* Deep knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, and subnetting. You understand how data moves through *5G, GEO, and LEO satellite* links.
* *The Linux Expert:* You are highly proficient in Linux environments and have expertise in *Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN)*.
* *Protocol Polyglot:* Familiarity with the 'languages of the web' (TCP, UDP, MQTT, HTTP, WebSockets).
* *The Troubleshooter:* A curious, agile mindset with the ability to debug complex architectures and find innovative 'outside-the-box' solutions.
**Why Join the UpNext Crew?**
* * *Revolutionary Impact:* You are building the core of a strategic mission. Your work will literally take flight and define how Airbus approaches connectivity for decades.*
* *A Rare Skillset:* Gain specialized expertise in aerospace connectivity-a high-demand field that merges traditional avionics with cutting-edge IT and satellite tech.
* *Startup Energy, Global Reach:* Thrive in an empowering 'startup' culture where your initiative is valued, backed by the safety and expertise of the world's leading aircraft manufacturer.
* *World-Class Team:* Work alongside elite engineers in a 'Care for Each Other' environment that prioritizes collaboration, transparency, and fun.
* ⚖ *Modern Flexibility:* Enjoy the freedom to manage your own schedule with flexible hours and remote work options.
* ☕ *The Fuel:* We keep the engine running with *complimentary freshly ground coffee*, premium beverages, and community bonding events that make UpNext a unique place to work.
In our agile world, the technical scope can evolve as the project scales. If you are flexible, technically fearless, and ready to architect the future of aviation, this is your seat.
*Ready to architect the sky? Apply now.*
