**Job Description:**
*Airbus Commercial is looking for an Embedded / Simulation Software Architect Engineer (f/m) based in Toulouse, France.
*You will join the Avionics or Simulation Software department, part of the Avionics and Simulation Products engineering domain.
This organization acts as an internal supplier of avionics equipment and simulators. Engineers in this domain are responsible for the design, development, production, and support of critical embedded products (e.g., Flight Controls, Flight Warning, Communication, Maintenance Equipment) or Simulation Softwares for all Airbus aircraft. It also serves as the Chamber of Reference (CoR) for Software and Electronics and Simulation, thanks to its highly skilled and experienced teams. In some cases, the activity scope also extends to other Airbus divisions and external partners.

*Your challenges:*
* *Technical Interface & Requirement Engineering:* Act as the lead technical bridge between major customers (systems, design, support) and internal teams (HW, SW, QA) to translate needs into certifiable software requirements.
* *Architectural Design & Trade-offs:* Build complex software architectures by selecting the best technologies and implementation solutions, balancing performance, safety, and reusability.
* *Framework & Strategy Deployment:* Define and deploy modeling frameworks, component-based approaches, and Product Line Engineering (PLE) to optimize software reuse across the portfolio.
* *Certification & Verification Leadership:* Define development and verification strategies compliant with airworthiness rules (DO-178B/C, DAL A to C) and ensure architecture compliance.
* *Innovation & Pre-study Support:* Provide technical expertise for feasibility analysis, financial estimations, and risk assessments for future projects, while introducing innovative technologies like Many-cores or High-Power Computing.

*Your boarding pass:*
* *Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science,* or a related technical field (Embedded Systems focus preferred).
* *Technical Expertise:* Deep knowledge of Embedded Real-Time Software, Software Engineering standards (DO-178B/C), and complex architecture techniques.
* *Methodology:* Strong experience in V-cycle development, Component-based approach, Product Line Engineering, and Design Patterns.
* *Advanced Technologies:* Proficiency in High-Power Computing, Many-core technology, and modern Data Security/Safety frameworks.
* *Soft Skills & Languages:* Open mindset with excellent negotiation skills in both English and French. Ability to thrive in an Agile environment with flexible role assignments.
