Air-Ground Communication Systems Test Engineer (m/f) AIRBUS

**Job Description:**

A vacancy for a *Air-Ground Communication Systems Test Engineer (m/f)* has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse. You will join a team within the *Airbus Flight and Integration Tests center* . This team is in charge of providing maturity statements of *NAVIGATION, SURVEILLANCE and COMMUNICATION systems* , following integration tests performed through Benches or Simulators, and Post Test Flights analysis.

Our team vision is to define experiment and industrialize future methods and means to perform those tests, in line with company objectives:

* Contributing to the *Autonomy Research & Technology Roadmap for Single Pilot Operation*

* Developing *N* *ew Tests solutions based on new technologies (e.g. Artificial Intelligence..)* for testing the next aircraft generation (zero Emission, Single Pilot, Visual Based Landing...)

* Decreasing Aircraft Development timeframe while increase systems maturity before their deliveries to our customers



AIR-GROUND COMMUNICATION is a wide range of avionics systems such as HF and VHF radios, Satellite communications (SATCOM), Wireless (Cellular 3G/4G/5G, Wifi, Lifi..), Cockpit AUDIO systems, DATALINK systems and functions.

* Task & accountabilities : *

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

* operating all those systems on our Lab test means (Simulator, benches) as pilots are operating them in airlines, knowing perfectly how they are designed and how they behave from technical point of view.

* preparing flight test instrumentation and analyze flight test data and system behavior in

* performing preparation, execution and reporting of tests for which you will become specialist.

* leading the sub-contracting team in charge of part of testing activities

* managing test campaigns cost and planning

* analyzing in-service events for the systems on your perimeter



* Required Skills: *

* Special interest for digital and analog electronic systems, industrial data processing, physical measurements, signal processing and analysis, network (OSI model, communication protocols,architecture) would be a plus

* You have or are willing to improve your technical aircraft system/function knowledge through testing on Virtual platforms, on benches and Simulators, and through exchanges with Design Office and flight crew and Support to Airlines.

* You like and want to invest yourself into technical topics, but have also project and coordination skills

* Advanced level of English in a technical context
