**Job Description:**

*Airbus Commercial Aircraft* is looking for a *Handling Qualities & Manual Flight Control Laws Certification Engineer (f/m)* to join our *Flight Controls, Handling Qualities & Manual Control Laws Certification* department based in *Toulouse, France*.

You will be part of a team in charge of *certification activities related to ATA 070 Handling Qualities and manual flight control laws* across multiple aircraft programmes.

Within this team, you will support the Designated Certification Specialist (DCS) in *managing compliance demonstration activities* to ensure safe and efficient aircraft operations, in alignment with regulatory and airworthiness requirements.

**Your challenges:**

* Advise design specialists on applicable regulations and Means of Compliance (MoCs) and their constraints.

* Participate in establishing the certification basis, Airbus positions for CRIs, and organise certification meetings with EASA specialists.

* Establish and manage the *Certification Plan* for ATA 070 and coordinate its application with CoC specialists.

* Plan and monitor compliance demonstrations, ensuring representativeness of test specimens, and manage document categorisation and acceptance.

* Support the preparation and issuance of aircraft-level documents (e.g., Flight Manual).

* Participate in change approvals (minor/major classification, preparation of certification plans, timely document issuance).

* Contribute to continued airworthiness by analysing in-service events, proposing corrective actions, and supporting airworthiness review meetings.

* Consolidate compliance records, prepare lessons learned, and ensure closure of all actions required to achieve certification objectives.

* Engineering degree with a strong interest in *Handling Qualities* and *Certification activities*.

* Solid knowledge in *Flight Mechanics* and *Avionics systems*; interest in *automatic flight control laws*.

* Strong analytical and organisational skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and activities.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with Design Offices, Airworthiness Authorities, and cross-functional teams.

* English: negotiation level

* French is a plus.
