We are looking for a *Head of Flight Physics* to come onboard in our Engineering
Directorate in Daniel's team : a team of 350 collaborators!

* Your Mission *
The Flight Physics (EG) department is responsible for the design, specification, development, and certification activities within the Flight Physics domain, as well as for supporting the in-service fleet within this scope.
The Head of EG must:
* Define, prioritize, and lead research, innovation, and preliminary study projects to adapt and develop technologies, competencies, and processes in alignment with the company's strategy.
* Ensure that, in the solutions implemented on ATR products, best practices, certification and airworthiness rules, flight safety, and product liability policies are fully considered.
* Ensure the quality and adequacy of responses provided to authorities; contribute to continued airworthiness; and provide technical expertise for safety analyses within the EG scope.
In particular, the Flight Physics Engineering missions are :
* To assure all the technical activities and data engineering for the following domains: Aerodynamics, Flight Dynamics, Loads (static and dynamic), Aircraft Performance, Weight & Balance, internal and external Acoustics, Flight Physics A/C and Engine Models and related operational software tools for airlines.
* Interpret fundamental physics principles and constraints, transforming them into practical designs collaboratively developed with other centres of competence for seamless integration into aircraft products.
* To assure the whole development tools and methods to support Flight physics technical activities.
* Assess completed designs to verify their compliance with overall aircraft flight physics expectations, ensuring performance within the intended flight envelope and operational domain.
* To guarantee, for all domains concerning general Flight Physics, that all modifications and studies for the ATR family are conducted in compliance with applicable design and certification rules.
* Support the in-Service Fleet by answering detailed requests from Support division
* Support the Sales campaigns by answering detailed requests from the Commercial division
The teams in composed of about 35 engineers organized in 3 Groups.
* A/C and Engine Models Development (EGM)
* A/C Performances and Weight (EGP)
* Flight Dynamics, Aero and Loads (EGX)
The Head of Flight Physics Engineering guides, motivates, and develops their team, fostering a culture of collaboration, performance, and efficiency within their sphere of influence.
He/she :
* Leads the team technically, ensuring compliance with development processes and applicable regulations.
* Is responsible for delivering technical solutions aligned with ATR's business priorities: fleet support, production support, sales support, product improvements, and future preparation.
* Develops key competencies and continuously improve working methods, processes, and tools.
* Manages the organization and human resources: team management, two-way communication, training and leave plans, and career development.
* Arbitrates priorities within their scope, taking into account Company and Engineering priorities, and plans activities according to actual capacity and available skills.
* Contributes to the annual Operating Plan and drives performance to achieve objectives.
* Organizes, leads, and develops the skills and resources needed to meet ATR's design requirements throughout the aircraft lifecycle, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
* Assigns contributors to integrated project teams and transversal work in collaboration with other Engineering and ATR entities.
* Ensures compliance with the DOA / Design Organization Manual for organizations and ways of working and contributes to the Core/Non-Core & Make-or-Buy policy and its subcontracting plan.
* Defines/validates Engineering tool requirements within EG and coordinates Airbus & Leonardo partner activities to ensure TCQ delivery.
* Collaborates with other Engineering teams (Structure, Cabin, Chief Engineering, MAP, Systems & Propulsion, Airworthiness, Flight Tests, Technical Documentation, Engineering Performance) and with all ATR functions (Customer Support, Procurement, FAL, Programme, Marketing & Sales, Quality, HR, Finance).
* Manages technical risks & opportunities.
* When necessary, interacts directly with Airworthiness Authorities and ATR aircraft operators.
