**Job Description:**
*Airbus Commercial Aircraft* is looking for an * Aircraft / Engine Performance Analysis Engineer (Pre-Delivery and In-Service) (f/m)* to join our Propulsion Performance & Thermal Department based in *Toulouse, France.*
You will be part of a team developing *advanced big data analytics for high-speed aircraft performance* . As part of the *Airbus Engine Performance team* , you will be involved in *monitoring engine performance status and degradation* aiming at * delivering optimized solutions for the Airbus fleet. *

In a context of accelerated growth across our fleet (both in production and in service), and thanks to the emergence of new capabilities in *Data Science* , the deep understanding of high-speed performance has become a key enabler for Airbus Commercial Aircraft. This role is essential for delivering optimized solutions to our customers.
*Your Mission:*
Based on a *Big Data approach* and in close collaboration with the Aircraft Performance and Aerodynamics teams, your role will be to provide the best understanding and the *most accurate status* of the Airbus fleet's high-speed performance, from the pre-delivery phase through in-service operations.
You will work at the intersection of *engine thermodynamics , data science , and aircraft operations* to ensure optimal performance and efficiency for the Airbus fleet.
You will collaborate with engine manufacturers to monitor the engine performance brought by current and incremental engine designs.
*Your key tasks & accountabilities : *
* *Correlation & Modelling:* Correlate engine performance measured on the test bench with aircraft performance. Evaluate engine performance modelling.
* *Impact Analysis:* Assess the impact of engine performance modifications during production and in-service exploitation phases.
* *Support & Investigation (Pre-Delivery):* Answer queries from the Flight Test team regarding unexpected performance during the pre-delivery phase (acceptance flights).
* *Support & Investigation (In-Service):* Answer queries from airlines regarding unexpected performance during in-service exploitation.
* *Fleet Monitoring (Pre-Delivery):* Deliver fleet performance status and analyses based on engine manufacturer test data and Airbus acceptance flight tests (explaining observed trends, evaluating modification impacts, and model biases).
* *Fleet Monitoring (In-Service):* Deliver engine performance status and analyses based on in-service fleet data, aiming at monitoring engine performance degradation and engine 'Time on Wing' before replacement.

* Degree: Graduated engineer or PhD in aeronautics
* Basic knowledge of *propulsion thermodynamics* and overall aircraft physics
* Basic knowledge of *data analytics* and proficiency in *Python* (or equivalent) for mass data processing.

* * Soft skills: *
* *Curiosity and Rigor:* Organized and diligent, you are curious to understand the underlying physics and capable of challenging data and results.

Au sein de l' équipe Performance Moteur d'Airbus , vous serez impliqué(e) dans la surveillance de l'état et de la dégradation de la performance des moteurs visant à fournir des solutions optimisées pour la flotte Airbus.
