**Job Description:**

*Airbus Commercial Aircraft* is looking for a *Materials and Process Engineering Support Engineer (f/h) *to join our *Structure Customer Support* department, a department of about 55 skilled and committed people based in *Toulouse, France.*

You will be part of the *Structure Engineering Customer Services* team, which deals with engineering issues (including aircraft on the ground), supports the safety process by publishing events and actively supports the resolution of major in-service issues.

The objective of your activity will be to ensure appropriate support of material and process related topics for efficient and reliable support of flight operations.

As a *Customer Support Engineer* (M/F) for Materials and Processes, under the direction of the Product Manager, you will report to the Materials and Processes and Nondestructive Testing Manager.
You will be part of a team of 17 people, where we focus on the safety of our products, the satisfaction of our customers and the well-being of people.
On a daily basis, you will be in direct contact with our customers and a large number of Airbus stakeholders (Design Office, Repair Organizations, AOG Center, Chief Engineering, Programs, Manufacturing, Warranties, ...).

*Your challenges:*

Working directly with the Operators/MRO (Maintenance Repair Organization), your main tasks and responsibilities will be to:
- Provide the highest possible level of technical services to Airbus customers on material and process engineering issues: painting, stripping, surface protection, sealant, cleaning, adhesives, composite, metal, fasteners, etc.
- Evaluate the financial impact of various in-service problems on operators
- Provide customers with relevant technical information using all appropriate means or media (technical presentations, symposium, Webex,...) to improve their operation
- Provide on-site technical assistance to customers in terms of consulting and awareness
- Provide technical support to customer service departments and other Airbus departments
- Initiate and follow up on updates of equipment and process documentation (Airbus Maintenance Manual, Structural Repair Manual)
- Contribute to the development of harmonized and updated generic procedures for ATA Chapter 51
- Contribute to the technical resolution of problems identified in service.
- Contribute to the improvement of in-service support and propose solutions based on in-service experience for new products and development in collaboration with the relevant design office
- Provide technical expertise within and outside the Airbus organization.
This role involves some travel for business within and outside Airbus so you must be able to travel accordingly

- Technical experience in materials and processes
- Experience in customer/airline support activity
- Experience in airline or MRO maintenance is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage short and long term activities
- Good personal presentation and communication skills
- Service oriented, customer satisfaction driven
- Interpersonal skills to deal with customers, partners and other departments
- Ability to take initiative to improve equipment and processes
- Negotiation skills in English

* * * - Fournir des services techniques de la plus haute qualité aux clients Airbus sur les problématiques d'ingénierie des matériaux et des procédés : métal, fixations, protection de surface, peinture, décapage, mastic, nettoyage, adhésifs, composites, etc. *

* * - Évaluer l'impact financier de divers problèmes en service sur les opérateurs *

* * - Fournir aux clients des informations techniques pertinentes par tous les moyens appropriés (présentations techniques, symposiums, vidéoconférence, etc.) afin d'améliorer leurs opérations *
