Linux Systems / Infrastructure Engineer - EMEA Job Description: Linux Systems / Infrastructure Engineer Location: Paris, Courbevoie Arrow's Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) business is a global technology enablement company that brings innovative IT solutions to the market to solve complex business challenges. We deliver value-added distribution, business consulting, and channel enablement services to the world's leading technology manufacturers and their channel partners. Responsibilities in this position:
- Administer, patch, troubleshoot and performance-tune Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments at enterprise scale.
- Design, implement and maintain Linux-based infrastructure solutions, from development through stabilization and documentation.
- Deploy and operate Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes platforms, including cluster and workload management.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible, Bash and Python.
- Administer VMware vSphere and Red Hat virtualization environments.
- Manage Linux identity services and integration with Microsoft Active Directory.
- Support backup, disaster recovery and data protection solutions, including Zerto and Rubrik.
- Monitor infrastructure availability, performance and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Participate in incident resolution, including critical infrastructure incidents when required.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security and application teams within a large multinational IT environment.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience working with Linux, ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), in enterprise environments.
- Strong experience in Linux administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Practical experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Ansible and scripting in Bash and/or Python.
- Experience with VMware vSphere and/or Red Hat virtualization.
- Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Active Directory integration.
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Zerto and Rubrik.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of infrastructure security, monitoring and capacity planning.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a large multinational IT environment.
- Interest in automation, containerization and modern enterprise infrastructure technologies.
