HPC Specialist Architect - Energy Industry Amazon TA

AWS is looking for a HPC Specialist Architect for the Energy & Utilities Business Unit, who will be a subject matter expert helping customers design solutions that leverage our HPC services. You will interact with other Solutions Architects in the field, providing guidance on their customer engagements, and you will develop white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage HPC services on AWS. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader AWS architect population, to help them understand how to integrate AWS solutions into customer architectures. You sponsor the creation of new products and features from these requirements, working closely with product and engineering teams to minimize requirements drift from your customer's needs. Thought Leadership - Evangelize AWS HPC services and share best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, white-papers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent, etc. - Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate HPC solutions into customer architectures. - Generally, travel up to 25% could be included and will be discussed at the interview stage. Mentorship & Career Growth Work/Life Balance Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military - C++, Python, Cuda, or Bash. - Proven ability to understand HPC user requirements and map these to solutions. Performance optimization experience with computationally intensive applications, particularly in oil and gas subsurface applications, reservoir simulation, and seismic data processing. - Expertise in parallel programming models for both loosely and tightly coupled applications, including proficiency with MPI (OpenMPI, MPICH), OpenMP, and hybrid parallelization strategies, and GPU programming using CUDA, OpenACC, or similar technologies, with demonstrated ability to optimize applications for GPU architectures. - Significant experience in infrastructure architecture and networking.
