Description du poste
As part of RTE International's Digital & Engineering Business Line, you will contribute to the deployment and innovation of digital substations and centralized protection architectures. Your role involves:
- Actively participate in IEC 61850-based digital substation projects (specification, configuration, and architecture).
- Contribute to R&D initiatives on virtualized protection schemes, in close coordination with Transmission System Operators (TSOs).
- Support technical feasibility assessments for innovative substations (e.g., HV-connected batteries, centralized protection, virtualization).
- Provide high-value engineering input to ongoing international projects.
Required Profile
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in substation design and protection systems.
- Proven experience with:
o IEC 61850 engineering (System Configuration, SCL files: SSD, SCD, ICD, etc.).
o Virtual or centralized protection schemes.
o Substation automation architecture and digital engineering tools.
- Prior experience in a Transmission System Operator (TSO) or equivalent grid operator (mandatory).
- Exposure to integration of new grid technologies (e.g., grid-connected batteries, DER).
Languages:
- Fluency in English (mandatory).
- French or other European language is a plus.

- Strong technical knowledge in digital substation architectures, protection studies, and IEC 61850.
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Capacity to challenge traditional design assumptions and propose innovative alternatives.
- Autonomous and solution-oriented mindset.
