Would you like to be part of a team focused on building adoption of Amazon Web Services with partners and prospective customers? Do you have the business savvy and the technical acumen necessary to help establish Amazon Web Services as the premier cloud provider?
As account Manager, you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of cloud technologies within your territory.
You will be a relationship builder, have a keen eye for detail and be adept at using the resources available to be successful. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to successfully manage a diverse set of relationships. You should also be a team player who is prepared to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment.
At AWS, we're excited to further expand our Small and Medium Business (SMB) team in France. The French SMB segment represents a massive opportunity with thousands of companies driving the economy. These businesses are at different stages of their cloud journey, from digital natives building the next unicorn to traditional SMB companies embarking on their digital transformation. Our team of passionate builders helps these customers innovate and grow through AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
As an Account Manager, you'll own a portfolio of strategic SMB accounts, working closely with C-level executives to drive their cloud adoption journey. You'll have the opportunity to work with innovative startups, established SMB companies, and everything in between, helping them leverage AWS services to transform their businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute account plans to drive revenue growth and cloud adoption across your portfolio
• Build and maintain executive relationships with key decision makers in your accounts
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to design technical solutions that meet customer needs
• Work with AWS Partners to accelerate customer success and scale your impact
• Create and progress pipeline opportunities through effective sales strategies
• Lead complex contract negotiations and closure of strategic deals
• Coach customers through their cloud transformation journey
• Drive operational excellence in territory management and pipeline hygiene
• Contribute to team initiatives and help shape our SMB strategy
A day in the life
As an AWS SMB Account Manager, your day might start with a virtual coffee chat with a customer's CTO discussing their GenAI adoption plans, followed by an in-person executive meeting at a SMB company exploring their cloud migration strategy. You'll collaborate with Solution Architects in technical deep-dives, align with Partners on joint go-to-market activities, and progress deals through internal reviews. Between customer engagements, you'll analyze account metrics, update pipeline forecasts, and strategize with your cross-functional team. The role offers a dynamic mix of strategic account planning, relationship building, and hands-on deal execution, all while helping French businesses innovate with cloud technology.
