Au sud de Paris, notre site est facilement accessible en transport en commun.The purpose of the position is to perform training and assessment activities involving analysis, design, development, delivery and continuous improvement of the Operational Train the Trainer training solution for Thales TopSky-ATC Product and TopSky-ATC Simulator.
The ATC Instructor will lead training for personnel who perform Operational end user training management activities in support of our customers (Air Navigation Service Providers - ANSP).
Specifically, the ATC Instructor will demonstrate a high level of experience and competence in Air Traffic Management systems and processes, training techniques, documentation, and the generation of new simulation exercises with Exercise Editor (EED) tools for the delivery of high quality and high fidelity Operational Train the Trainer training.
The ATC Instructor is required to work collaboratively with all members of the Training Team as well as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from other areas.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze training requirements for the Operational Training User via Training Needs Analysis (TNA);
- Craft learning outcomes and assessment criteria relating to Operational Train the Trainer training;
- Develop exercise scenarios with Exercise Editor (EED) tools and appropriate datasets, and role playing as a pseudo-pilot or ATC operator where required;
- Develop product/system documentation in support of operational and simulation activities;
- Identify and finalize the integration of required Training Equipment in accordance with training and assessment strategy;
- Develop and perform internal reviews for Training Materials, particularly Job/Task Analyses, Performance Gap Analyses and Learning Strategies;
- Conduct and participate in instructor preparation training in order to standardize training and assessment prior to the delivery of training;
- Undertake delivery of Operational Train the Trainer training;
- Ensure that suitable procedures and practices are engaged at all times in the delivery of training, ensuring a consistent and high quality of service;
- Maintain Thales training materials in a 'fit for delivery' state as appropriate including simulator scenarios and datasets;
- Facilitate the training evaluation process with respect to software upgrade and ensure the continuous improvement of training;
- Provide professional advice relating to the TopSky-ATC training product and any other internal training matters; and
- Monitor and control all training costs under their direct control to ensure any project budget is not exceeded, while respecting the quality and schedule requirements.
Challenges:
- Providing key operational input during the Training and Assessment System Analysis, Design, Develop and Implement Phases to produce effective and efficient training solutions.
- Achieving Customer approval of training documentation.
- Meeting the training delivery requirements to aggressive project schedules.
- Maintaining training delivery to contractual requirements with emphasis on cost optimization.
- Designing, developing and delivering highly effective and concise training.
- Maintaining a continuous evaluation and improvement process regarding training.
Profile
- Prior experience delivering ATC-related training.
- Prior experience in developing aviation simulation exercises for use in a formal training environment.
- Prior experience in configuring and operating aviation simulation systems and interacting with simulation datasets.
- Prior experience working within an Air Traffic Control environment, with operational ATC rating/endorsement experience within Tower/Approach and/or Approach/Enroute Control.
- Intermediate level skills in MS Office Suite of Tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- High proficiency in English.
