Situé à 20mn du Pôle technologique de Paris-Saclay, le site est l'un des plus grands centres d'excellence radars de surface. Nous contribuons à développer, concevoir, intégrer et tester des radars de surveillance aériennes dédiés à la détection et l'identification de cibles.The Industrial Strategy Manager defines and drives the global industrial strategy of the Industry Competence Center, in alignment with the Business Line's objectives. He/She oversees an international scope and is responsible for defining industrial architectures, mastering manufacturing processes, and optimizing the industrial footprint (site distribution, capacities, specializations) while ensuring:
- Competitiveness (cost, quality, lead times).
- Compliance with localization obligations (offsets) in customer countries.
- Alignment with supply chain and R&D challenges.
He/She intervenes upstream to anticipate industrial needs and downstream to ensure operational deployment, in collaboration with business units and country teams.
As the head of industrial strategy, you will be required to
- Definition and Deployment of Industrial Strategy
- Develop the ICC's industrial roadmap,
- Ensure alignment with Group strategy,
- Manage localization obligations (offsets).
- Optimization of Industrial Footprint & Expertise in Manufacturing Processes
- Map and rationalize industrial capacities,
- Supervise technical maturity of ICC's manufacturing processes,
- 0versee Process Technology Managers.
- Management of Industrial Programs and Offsets
-Supervise industrialization of new products,
-Manage technology transfers,
-Drive industrial partnerships.
- International Management and Coordination
- Animate the industrial network,
- Manage HR aspects,
- Represent THALES with institutions.
The Industrial Strategy Manager defines the core and non-core activities, which plant is best fitted to manufacture a defined product, and in which locations we should implement new production site. He/She is looking at the optimal production processes that would drive THALES ability to lead the market place and be competitive. The Industrial Strategy Manager is constantly seeking for innovative processes that could help improving the quality of our products, he/she is looking for innovative manufacturing architectures to reach operational optimum, he/she is considering opportunities to localize production in the right places to optimize our offset strategy.
Skills :
• Strategic:
- Mastery of industrial analysis tools (benchmarking, SWOT, footprint scenarios).
- Understanding of offset mechanisms and public-private partnerships.
• Technical:
- Evaluation of site performance (costs, quality, flexibility).
- Supervision of Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL).
• Managerial:
- International leadership (multi-cultural, dispersed teams).
- Complex negotiation (balancing business and local constraints).
•Financial:
- Industrial profitability analysis (full costs, ROI on investments).
- CAPEX budget management and transformation plans.
• Global Vision: Ability to arbitrate between local issues and Group strategies.
• Resilience: Crisis management (e.g., supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes).
• Diplomacy: Adaptation to different cultures and government expectations.
• Innovation: Monitoring new technologies (Industry 4.0, decarbonization).
