Full Stack Developer - Symfony and JavaScript chez Rise Up| Permanent Contract EIQUEM

As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, working on both front-end and back-end. You’ll join a tech team of around 30 developers (about 10 in Lisbon), working in small, focused squads using Agile Scrum methodology with two-week sprints.

Your main missions will be:

• Participate in the technical design and development of new features, collaborating with the product team
• Take responsibility for the entire development cycle (applying best practices from the technical team: clean code, documentation, tests, code review)
• Actively participate in the Agile Scrum development cycle: planning, execution, and continuous improvement. Apply Rise Up’s development strategies, such as task breakdown, using the Design System, and continuous deployment
• Ensure the platform’s performance, security, and reliability
• Share relevant information with stakeholders (dev, product), including timelines, technical issues, and project priorities
• Develop and maintain in-depth product knowledge

Who are they looking for?

• 5+ years of experience as a full-stack developer, with solid expertise in both PHP/Symfony and modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, Angular, or Svelte)
• Proven experience building applications from scratch, from architecture to deployment
• Knowledge of SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries
• A keen eye for code quality — you write robust, well-tested, and well-documented code, and always consider performance
• You’re comfortable collaborating across teams and working in an agile environment
• Fluent in English; French and Portuguese are nice-to-haves
