ArianeGroup GmbH in Bremen is looking for an intern in the field of Flight dynamics & GNC (m/f/d) for the department JTEE1 with immediate effect.

Your main tasks and activities:
Activities: Implementation of optimal Guidance algorithms using MATLAB / Simulink for an Orbital Transfer Vehicle (OTV). Integration of the algorithms in a full-scale G+C simulator. A trade-off will be performed between the different methods, both from a mathematical / numerical point of view, and from the point of view of the impact on the whole system.
Design and implementation of a Missionization tool for a full-scale GNC simulator: Final scope is to have an easy way to transfer the typical Mission Analysis data into the a Functional Engineering Simulator (FES). Moreover, the tool shall enable mission adaptations independently.
Guidance for Rendez-vous and Docking: First step is to compute several Mission Analysis scenarios for RdV and Docking for an OTV. They will afterwards be simulated in 6DoF. Different types of targets will be considered
You have the following qualifications:
Full time enrolled Master student (d/f/m) in Aerospace Engineering with focus in flight dynamics
Fluent English language skills; good German and/or French would be beneficial

This site, located on the outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Bremen in north-west Germany, has specialised in the development and manufacture of the upper stage of the Ariane launchers since the start of the programme. Its experts are responsible for the design, development and final integration of the Ariane 6 upper stage. They are also developing the Astris Kick Stage, an additional upper stage powered by the future reignitable bi-propellant engine called Berta, which will further enhance Ariane 6's versatility. The Bremen site also produces metal tanks for the orbital propulsion systems.
