Key Responsibilities of the Photonic Device Design Engineer :
- Design TFLN waveguide devices with integrated electrodes using CAD tools.
- Work closely with the Device Fabrication Scientist/Engineer to ensure designs are compatible with available fabrication equipment and processes.
- Support the Device Characterisation Engineer by developing embedded C++ software for automated testing and data logging.
- Use Python for simulation, modelling, and automation tasks.
- Interface with the Executive team to present and discuss design strategies, technical decisions, and project updates.
- Contribute to iterative device design improvements based on simulation results, testing outcomes, and market feedback.
- Role is based in their Research lab in Lausanne.

Description du profil
Qualifications & Experience of the Photonic Device Design Engineer :
- Ms or PhD in Physics, Photonic or related discipline,
- Proven background in photonic semiconductor device design on Sin or LiNbO plateforms,
- Optical waveguide design.
- Python programming for simulation and automation.
- CAD-based device design.
- Embedded C++ software development for testing/characterisation systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and executive teams.
Role is based in their Research lab in Lausanne.
