Executive Search Company specialized in the recruitment of top and middle management profiles, FED Africa is operating in partnership with international and local groups in order to develop their businesses in Africa.
We are looking for one of our client, a multinational group, a Logistic Director based in Lagos.
- Provide strategic direction for an organisation's logistics operations and activities.
- Oversee and manage the organisation's logistics operations to ensure that all staff members carry out their tasks to the required standards.
- Manage day-to-day logistics activities of the business to meet operational objectives and customer service standards.
- Analyse data relating to transportation costs, storage costs, suppliers' performance, inventory control and other areas of logistics activity to identify areas for improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers by monitoring and evaluating their performance against agreed contract terms, alongside negotiating contracts with suppliers.
- Manage the logistics budget, including costs for new projects and proposals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance logistics efficiency.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and contingency plans.

Description du profil
- Deep understanding of logistics principles, processes, and best practices.
- Good knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and distribution management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing logistics team.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and working collaboratively with other senior executives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing logistics challenges.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present logistics information to various stakeholders including the board of directors, employees, and external partners.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools.
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- 10/15 years of experience
