A Toulouse-based robotics startup is creating and building an innovative mobile robot for inspection, maintenance, and collaboration in challenging environments. Departing from traditional shapes, they designed a fundamentally agile and dexterous robot capable of advanced interactions, reinventing movement for the first home robotic assistant. The primary objective being to deploy the appropriate tool in specific locations that are inaccessible to other robots.

Role:
The platform team is actively seeking a senior electronic engineer for a key technical team lead position. This role is of high importance, requiring contributing significant value to the project and to lead a small team of engineers. Consequently, a relocation package and stock options are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the new and significant challenge of industrialization process and field deployments within the early-adopter program of the pre-series prototype.
• Managing various technical challenges expanding in the platform team:
  • PCBs incorporating high-tech communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet, USB, etc.
  • PCBs featuring advanced electronics, including but not limited to fiber optics, accurate distributed sensors, slip rings.
  • Custom sub-assemblies, emphasizing intelligent system design, including custom actuator and controller boards.
  • Embedded firmware, depending on skills and preferences, covering areas such as motor control, distributed computations, related functionalities.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in developing dedicated mission tools that seamlessly integrate into the modular structure of the robot, requiring substantial expertise in custom mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering.
• More than 5 years of engineering experience.
• Hands-on approach to the job, involving design, sourcing, ordering, prototyping, debugging, and improving projects as part of a collaborative team at Nimble One.
• Extensive experience with Altium, our primary design tool.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to the creation of an unprecedented robot with world-class functionality, incorporating state-of-the-art technology.

BAC+5, Master's Degree, Engineering School
