**Job Description:**
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Lead System Engineer (f/m) to join our Product Policy and Architecture Department based in Marignane, France.
You will be part of a team developing cutting-edge VTOL aircraft designs and shaping the future of flight. As part of the Product Policy and Architecture team , you will be involved in defining and enabling the widespread application of our new System Engineering and MBSE framework across all Airbus Helicopters platforms, aiming at optimizing our development lifecycle and driving efficiency gains .

*Your challenges:*
* Define the strategic vision and enable the widespread application of the new System Engineering (SE) and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) framework.
* Frame and organise the team (3 to 5 people) that will support you for this challenge.
* Coach and mentor aircraft architects to ensure pragmatic and value-added adaptation of the SE framework across all Airbus Helicopters platforms, drawing on your extensive 'on-the-field' experience.
* Optimize the entire development lifecycle, frontloading activities to prevent schedule slips and drive efficiency.
* Mitigate Non-Recurring Cost (NRC) risks and ultimately optimizing overall development costs.
* Cultivate and advance SE & MBSE skills, refine processes, and foster cross-platform knowledge fertilization as the System Engineering Metier owner.
*Your profile:*
* Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Aircraft Architecture Leadership.
* Deep understanding of VTOL (aircraft design.
* Proven track record in applying System Engineering to complex aerospace programs.
* Extensive 'on-the-field' experience in aerospace development.
* Ability to shape strategy, empower teams, drive transformational change.
* Very good communication, abilities to give meaning and convince, entrepreneurial mindset.
* Your proven experience in applying system engineering could be also out of aerospace domain.
This position requires regular business trips (2 to 3 days every 2 weeks).
