**Job Description:**

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Certification Qualification Engineer H160 Program (f/m) to join our Design Office based in Marignane, France.

You will join the Airworthiness Office of Airbus Helicopters in Marignane and become part of the Chief Airworthiness Engineer's (CAE) Team for H160 Program to support the safety of our products by managing the Certification, Qualification and initial Airworthiness activities for your program. This includes new helicopter type certification, changes to existing helicopter type certificates and flight clearances.

Each Project involves various contributors (Chief Engineering, designers, internal and external specialists, customer support, prototype shop, Final Assembly Line, ...).

The Certification Qualification Engineer is the focal point for the Airworthiness Authorities with whom he/she is negotiating the certification basis as well as the certification strategy and means of compliance (lab/ground/flight testing, Safety analysis...) and authority involvement (document acceptance, test witnessing, in-house reviews...).

The Certification/Qualification Engineer is responsible to ensure demonstration of compliance to the applicable airworthiness requirements, to ensure their in-service safety. He/she is responsible for leading the Certification and Qualification activities necessary to meet the development and deliveries milestones (new and retrofit) of the program.

This results in a challenging transverse position, including negotiation internally but also with civil and millitary Aviation Authorities worldwide, with great responsibilities, and a good overview on our products, on our systems and on our organization.

Your challenges:

Your mission is to achieve the certification and qualification of the H160 Helicopters, in an international environment.

To achieve this you will have to:


* Influence and contribute to the harmonization of the future Certifications (e.g. in the frame of offers, ..)

* Identify/define the applicable Certification / Qualification basis for future H160 evolutions

* Obtain the permit to fly or contribute to the obtainment in case of cooperation projects.

* Define the Certification/qualification Logics, elaborate and harmonize (internally / externally) the certification & qualification plans, including the identification of the Means of Compliance and associated demonstrations of compliance.

* Coordinate the creation and delivery of those compliance demonstrations in accordance with the general milestones provided by the Project team.

* Validate those demonstrations of compliance and harmonize them with Authorities.

* Produce the certification / qualification synthesis documents and harmonize them with authorities.

* Approve design changes under DOA privileges.



In parallel, the position could offer, in the future, the opportunity to:


* Become authorized signatory and responsible within the design assurance system including the whole process of certification and qualification.

* Manage a transversal team for a given certification/qualification project.

* Be a key player for the harmonization of the certification processes, for continuous improvement and DOA on H160.

* Promote our Roles & Responsibilities and associated processes within Airbus Helicopters and in front of our Authorities.

* Be the point of contact of all airworthiness/qualification topics relative to H160 in front of internal customers/suppliers (LF, Project, Configuration ...) as well as external ones (authorities, partners).

* Validate repairs, directives, Service Bulletins, flight clearances



Your profile:

You need to have the following skills and experience:

* Educated to a 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.

* At least 3 years of overall experience in design office and if possible in certification.


* Advanced level of French and English
