As a Business Development Manager, your goal is to drive business growth by expanding SBS's customer base and generating new revenue opportunities. You will play a crucial role in initiating and managing strategic partnerships, identifying market trends, and promoting SBS's SBS License Technology Software products and services within the industry.

This position requires the ability to work cross-functionally with the sales, marketing, product, and presales teams.

Key Responsibilities

SBS is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Manager to join its dynamic Market Development team whose key responsibilities are:

Market Research and Analysis

  • Identify and analyze new market opportunities and customer needs to build effective growth strategies.
  • Regularly conduct market research and analysis (innovation, competitive landscape, …) to anticipate sales opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Stay up to date on the latest market trends and developments that could impact the business.

Lead Generation and Prospection

  • Identify potential prospects and clients to expand SBS's scope.
  • Proactively build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and leveraging online platforms.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to generate leads and secure new business opportunities.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospects and be a reliable point of contact for them.

Sales and Revenue Growth

  • Drive business growth by expanding our customer base and penetrating new markets.
  • Deliver presentations to prospects to showcase how SBS's solutions align with their requirements and would help them be successful.
  • Skillfully negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with prospects.
  • Close deals while ensuring client satisfaction and alignment with SBS's strategy.
  • Commit to and deliver results based on assigned monthly and quarterly targets.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Build Go-To-Market strategies and territory sales plans and implement them to help SBS capture a larger market share.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales representatives, marketing…) to align expansion strategies.

How do you go into the market

Sales Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and outcomes for senior management.
  • Monitor sales metrics and KPIs and adjust strategies to meet SBS's sales targets and revenue goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives to qualify leads in potential markets + marketing, GTM orchestrators, sales teams in general
  • Work closely with product management and marketing teams to provide valuable market insights, customer feedback, and ideas for potential improvements.
Qualifications

Skills required

  • Ambitious and results-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong prospecting skills as well as persuasive and negotiation abilities
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good industry and product knowledge, and curious to learn more about the market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey the SBS's value proposition to clients.
  • Ability to understand customer business drivers and to establish buy-in at all levels.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Sales or Business Development manager position, as well as relevant experience working in the FinTech industry.
  • Proven track record of hitting and exceeding commercial targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software (Salesforce…) and other sales and marketing tools to manage customer databases, track performance, and report on sales activities.
  • Enthusiast to hunt for new clients and get deals done.
  • Love to work in an international environment and willing to travel as required.
  • Fluency in English and any other relevant language is essential.
