SENIOR MANAGER SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS SUPPORT (H/F) Saint-Gobain

In line with the Group's vision and strategy, the sustainable construction team helps Saint-Gobain and its businesses to capture the full potential of sustainability as a major growth and differentiation driver, both at global and local levels, in priority on the construction markets.

Within the Sustainable Business Development team department, the Sustainable Business Support team delivers guidelines, expertise and services to the regional, global specialties and HPS businesses

• to identify, develop and leverage their sustainability strengths,
• to define and implement their mid- and long-term sustainability roadmaps,
• and to develop their short- and mid-term sales and marketing action plans.

Main Responsibilities

The Senior Manager for Sustainable Business Support :

• manages the Sustainable Business Support team
• has the ownership of the Sustainable Construction guidelines that define and explain what sustainable construction means for SAINT-GOBAIN. The guidelines are regularly updated and completed to take advantage of good practices and improved knowledge.
• supports management teams in countries and businesses to design and implement their sustainability roadmap, from scoping the market developments, to helping identify ambition and priorities and to defining action plans. The SBS teams has the ownership of the methodology to develop sustainability roadmaps.
• identifies and explores new sustainability trends, topics or developments on the market and develops expertise and recommendations to help businesses positions and grow on those new topics, such as affordable housing or adaptation and resilience to climate change. He explores new topics for the Group and help define the Group's positions and approach.
• monitors globally the development of the main labeling schemes for sustainable buildings or sustainable products, contributes to public consultations on their evolutions and supports countries in better understanding their possible impact for their offer. The SBS team provides regular updates on sustainable product and building certification schemes and helps businesses to better position their offers along those certifications.
• brings support and expertise to the Offer & Product Management team within M&D and collaborate closely with the persons in OPM in charge of the "sustainable offer": market analysis (EPD comparisons, competitors' benchmarks, customers reviews, updates on regulations…), product trainings on sustainability, good practice sharing, communications on sustainability, support in new solutions positioning and launch... For the glass business, the SBS team organizes the Sustainable Marketing Glass steerco. The team can participate in central projects for their sustainability part
• Is, together with the Brands and Communications team, in charge of organizing the International Architecture Student Contest, in particular of defining the contest task, developing ad hoc training support for the students and managing the international jury.
• represents Saint-Gobain with international customers, key accounts and major international organisations to present and explain the Group's approach to sustainable construction.

Education

• Business, engineer, or architecture school.
• Master degree level.
• A post-master degree specialisation in sustainability or sustainable construction would be a plus

Knowledge /Experience /Technical competencies

• 10 - 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in sales & marketing.
• Possibly already a good knowledge of sustainability related matters.
• Some knowledge in building science and/or building assessment schemes would be a valuable plus.
