Poste et missions:

For Airbus Helicpoters in Donauwörth within the department Dynamic Systems Germany we are looking for a VIE (d/f/m) -
Stress Analysis Engineer.

Start: September 2019
Duration: 12 months (extension possible)

Mission and Activities:
Perform static stress analysis and fatigue/lifetime calculations for the dynamic system components of helicopters such as rotor parts, rotor blades, gearbox, main rotor shaft.
As job holder you will be part of a team which is in charge of developing the rotor blades, rotor and flight control parts and gear boxes for different helicopters like H145, H135, BK117 C-2/D-2 and Tiger (Franco-German military helicopter).

You will perform the following tasks:
- Perform the sizing, stress analysis and substantiation of the dynamic system components, taking into account weight, stiffness and performance aspects
- Ensure the static and fatigue strength of the parts using hand calculations, standard analytical and Finite-Element-methodologies and tools
- Define, support and evaluate the coupon and bench static and fatigue tests
- Participate in the continued airworthiness process by treating non-conformities in the production as well as by investigating in-service incidents and proposing appropriate actions
- Contribute to the customer satisfaction by answering the requests of the technical customer service

Profil:

- University degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar
- 0-2 years of experience in the domain of stress calculation preferably in the field of metallic and/or composite structures, mechanical systems
- Work experience in the aeronautics industry is a plus
- Skills in technical mechanics, calculation and the FEM
- Experience in tools like Hyperworks Platform, NASTRAN/PATRAN or ABAQUS is a plus
- Self motivated and pro-active
- Ability to work in a dynamic, diverse team
- Fluent in English
- German is a plus

You are a good team player, have excellent communication skills and are able to work independently.
