Description of the major functions:

Business development/strategy

  • Define the long-term strategy of the BU Vetrotex with the Business Director + Management team.
  • Early-stage assessment of business opportunities (ownership of new markets/products portfolio)
  • Active participation to build the business plan as the budget.
  • Follow strategical CAPEX linked to new products.
  • Coordinate the potential use of AI for internal process improvements.

  • Support sales team to consolidate and translate customer needs (new applications/new markets) to the internal organization (Operations, R&D, communication, …)
  • Identify growth opportunities (Support the sales team for geographical growth, including Asia)
  • Recommend measurable steps to achieve overall business growth and deliver the financial results.

Data analysis

  • Conduct data analysis of the glass fiber yarn industry worldwide (mega trends, market, applications, competitor products and services, import statistics…), monthly and yearly reporting.
  • Recording of how the own business is performing during the given year, check strength and points to improve.
  • Propose projection of the best course of action in order to grow the business.
  • Coordinate exchange with central business intelligence team.

Product manager activities

  • Analyze the market qualitatively and quantitatively.
  • Analyze the activities of our customers, their strategies, investments and product requirements.
  • Analyze competitor activities, organize regular benchmark.
  • Ensure coherence between customers/markets needs and products/services offer.
  • Coordinate all activities with the SG Research centers in EU and US.
  • Follow all strategical NDAs with key customers as partners and start-up)

Description du profil

  • You have a master's degree (engineer type), with a minimum of 10 years of similar experience. Previous experience in the field of technical textiles (fiberglass, carbon or fibers) is highly valuable.

  • You are ready to spend up to 30% of travel time abroad, regular travels inside EU (plants and customers) and few trips per year to Mexico/USA.

  • Location of the office to be discussed. Partial home office possible, also in the Saint-Gobain headquarter in Paris area if preferred.
